The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is implementing its next generation electronic tolling systems, and those upgrades include replacing existing tolling hardware and software at all toll facilities. Work began at the Intercounty Connector (ICC/MD 200) in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties in January and will continue into April. The tentative schedule is shown above.
The temporary detours are needed due to the amount of equipment and crews involved and to help ensure the safety of workers and motorists.
